Split Methods Explained

Extract specific pages — Enter individual page numbers separated by commas. For example entering 1,3,5 will extract pages 1 3 and 5 into a new PDF.

Extract page range — Enter a start and end page number to extract a continuous range of pages.

Extract all pages — Extracts every page from the document into a single new PDF in the same order.

Can I extract non-consecutive pages?

Yes. Use the specific pages option and enter the page numbers separated by commas. For example 1,4,7,10 will extract those four pages into a new PDF.

How do I know how many pages my PDF has?

Open your PDF in any PDF viewer and the page count will be shown in the toolbar. If you enter an invalid page number HollaPDF will tell you the total page count.

Can I split a password protected PDF?

PDFs with permission restrictions can be split using HollaPDF. If your PDF requires an open password you will need to unlock it first using our Unlock PDF tool.

What is the maximum file size?

You can upload PDFs up to 60MB. If your file is larger try compressing it first using our Compress PDF tool.
